What is" WANNA/GOTTA/GONNA" ?
We often get confused while listening to american and British people when they use "WANNA/ GOTTA/GONNA" . Usually in songs i.e I wanna love you. We make use of dictionary ,but it's no use , these words are never available in dictionaries. Today we are going to throw light on it.
So here we go
1. WANNA
WANNA - " Want to"
Ex:- I wanna talk to you.
Ex:- I want to talk to you.
"WANNA" is not common in written english and It is considered informal. It is usually spoken by american and british people because they tend to speak fluent. These days it is spoken all around the world.
"WANT TO" is very common in both written and spoken english. It is considered formal and it can be used anywhere with anybody.
Let's have more examples.
He wanna join this institute ( I want to join this institute)
Wanna dance with me? (Do you want to dance with me?)
I wanna be an Engineer. ( I want to be an engineer)
John didn't wanna make friends with you. (John didn't want to make friend with you)
I wanna love you. ( I want to love you.)
2. GOTTA
GOTTA - "Got to"
"GOTTA" is a short form of "Got to" . It is used for Obligatory,compulsory and necessary situation. Something that is important to be done. Something that is must be done.
Ex:- you gotta practice , if you wanna learn english.
Or
Ex:- You got to practice, if you wanna learn english.
It implies that ( It is necessary to practice , if you want to learn english ) . I mean you can't learn to speak English , If you don't practice on the regular basis.
Note:- Both "GOTTA" and "GOT TO" are informal and not commonly used in written english . But it is widely used in spoken english.

Ex:- I have to meet her.
Or
Ex:- I gotta meet her.
Or
Ex:- I got to meet her.
All implies " It is compulsory to meet her" . Now it must be clear to you that "GOTTA / GOT TO/ HAVE TO " are same .
Ex:- I gotta buy a new bike. ( I have to buy a new bike)
Ex:- You gotta mop up the floor. ( You have to mop up the floor)
Ex:- We got to invite him.. ( We have to invite him)
3.GONNA
"GONNA" means "going to" . It means something is about to happen soon or in future.Note:- We always use GONNA+VERB to form a sentence.
For instance
I am gonna village ( Incorrect)
I am gonna go to village ( Correct)
Ex :- I am gonna propose Sophia next month.
Or
Ex:- I am going to propose Sophia next month.
"GONNA" is not very common in written English but it is widely used in spoken English. But "GOING TO" is used for both spoken and written English.
