Vocabulary related to Rain

Rain Vocabulary

Most of the English learners find it difficult to discuss about " Rain" ,But no longer now.
Today we are gonna cover almost every vocabulary related to Rain. So let's get started. Before I go Watch this video

  Rain is a verb. It has some form ( V1=Rain, V2=Rained, V3=Rained, V4=Raining )

Ex:- I take bath ,whenever it rains.
( जब भी बारिस होती है , मैं नहाता हुँ)

Ex:-It rained last night. (कल रात बारिस हुई थी)

Ex:- It is raining at the moment.
         (  फिलहाल बारिस हो रही है)

Light Rain ( Normal Rain)

1. Drizzle / spitting (It means very light rain) बूंदा बाँदी

Ex:- It is drizzling at the moment.
  (इस वक़्त बूंदा बाँदी हो रही है।)

2. Scattered showers - On & Off Rain ( Not continue)

Heavy Rain ( तेज बारिस)

1. Pouring ( It means heavy rain) मूसलाधार बारिस                                   
Ex:- It is pouring outside.
( बाहर मूसलाधार बारिस हो रही है।)

2.Bucketing down ( It means heavy rain)

Ex:- It is bucketing down.
          ( तेज बारिस हो रही है)

3. Rain cat and dog
Ex:-It is raining cat and dog.
        ( तेज बारिस हो रही है।)

Hail -  raining small balls of Ice.  ओले पड़ना
  Ex:- It hailed last night.
          ( कल रात ओले पड़े थे)

Overcast/Cloudy -Full of cloud.

Ex:- It's cloudy weather today.                           
  ( आसमान में  बादल छाए हुए है आज)

Drench - To get wet.   भीगना

 Ex:-Why are you drenching in rain?
          ( बारिस में क्यों भीग रहे हो?)
Ex:-  Anny has drenched.
         (Anny भीग चुकी है।)       

 Soaked - completely wet  ( पुरी तरह भीग जाना)

  Ex:- You have socked , go change the clothes.
( आप पुरी तरह भीग गए हो, जाओ और कपड़े बदल लो।)
             
Damp - slightly wet [little wet(थोड़ा गीला)]

Ex:- Damp the clothes and wipe up the board.
( कपड़ा थोड़ा गीला करो और बोर्ड को साफ कर दो।)
Ex:- Her hairs are still damp.
        (उसके बाल अभी भी हल्के गीले है)

Flash of  Lightning - (बिजली कड़कना)

  Ex:- All of  a sudden,lighting flashed.
              (  अचानक बिजली कड़की)

Ward off the Rain - to avoid the rain ( बारिस से बचना)
Ex:- Carry an umbrella to ward off the rain.
       (  बारिस से बचने के लिए छाता ले लो।)

It was around 3 o'clock and It was cloudy weather. Riya was allset to go to tuition.She took her bag and left for tuition. As soon as she left the home. It started drizzling and her clothes were damped . When she was just 100 miles away from the tuition. It started raining cat and dog. By the time she got to the tuition, She had soaked. But fortunately she had a waterproof bag. And she had another dress in the bag. Without wasting time she went to  the changing room and changed the clothes. After the class it was drizzling a bit. All the ditches were full of water.
