Most of the English learners find it difficult to discuss about " Rain" ,But no longer now.

  Rain is a verb. It has some form ( V1=Rain, V2=Rained, V3=Rained, V4=Raining )
Rain vocabulary



Ex:- I take bath ,whenever it rains.
( เคœเคฌ เคญी เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคนोเคคी เคนै , เคฎैं เคจเคนाเคคा เคนुँ)

Ex:-It rained last night. (เค•เคฒ เคฐाเคค เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคนुเคˆ เคฅी)

Ex:- It is raining at the moment.
         (  เคซिเคฒเคนाเคฒ เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคนो เคฐเคนी เคนै)


Light Rain ( Normal Rain)


1. Drizzle / spitting (It means very light rain) เคฌूंเคฆा เคฌाँเคฆी

Ex:- It is drizzling at the moment.
  (เค‡เคธ เคตเฅ˜्เคค เคฌूंเคฆा เคฌाँเคฆी เคนो เคฐเคนी เคนै।)

2. Scattered showers - On & Off Rain ( Not continue)

Heavy Rain ( เคคेเคœ เคฌाเคฐिเคธ)



1. Pouring ( It means heavy rain) เคฎूเคธเคฒाเคงाเคฐ เคฌाเคฐिเคธ                                   
Ex:- It is pouring outside.
( เคฌाเคนเคฐ เคฎूเคธเคฒाเคงाเคฐ เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคนो เคฐเคนी เคนै।)

2.Bucketing down ( It means heavy rain)

Ex:- It is bucketing down.
          ( เคคेเคœ เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคนो เคฐเคนी เคนै)

3. Rain cat and dog
Ex:-It is raining cat and dog.
        ( เคคेเคœ เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคนो เคฐเคนी เคนै।)

Hail -  raining small balls of Ice.  เค“เคฒे เคชเฅœเคจा
  Ex:- It hailed last night.
          ( เค•เคฒ เคฐाเคค เค“เคฒे เคชเฅœे เคฅे)

Overcast/Cloudy -Full of cloud.

Ex:- It's cloudy weather today.                           
  ( เค†เคธเคฎाเคจ เคฎें  เคฌाเคฆเคฒ เค›ाเค เคนुเค เคนै เค†เคœ)

Drench - To get wet.   เคญीเค—เคจा

 Ex:-Why are you drenching in rain?
          ( เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคฎें เค•्เคฏों เคญीเค— เคฐเคนे เคนो?)
Ex:-  Anny has drenched.
         (Anny เคญीเค— เคšुเค•ी เคนै।)       

 Soaked - completely wet  ( เคชुเคฐी เคคเคฐเคน เคญीเค— เคœाเคจा)

  Ex:- You have socked , go change the clothes.
( เค†เคช เคชुเคฐी เคคเคฐเคน เคญीเค— เค—เค เคนो, เคœाเค“ เค”เคฐ เค•เคชเฅœे เคฌเคฆเคฒ เคฒो।)
             
Damp - slightly wet [little wet(เคฅोเฅœा เค—ीเคฒा)]

Ex:- Damp the clothes and wipe up the board.
( เค•เคชเฅœा เคฅोเฅœा เค—ीเคฒा เค•เคฐो เค”เคฐ เคฌोเคฐ्เคก เค•ो เคธाเคซ เค•เคฐ เคฆो।)
Ex:- Her hairs are still damp.
        (เค‰เคธเค•े เคฌाเคฒ เค…เคญी เคญी เคนเคฒ्เค•े เค—ीเคฒे เคนै)

Flash of  Lightning - (เคฌिเคœเคฒी เค•เฅœเค•เคจा)

  Ex:- All of  a sudden,lighting flashed.
              (  เค…เคšाเคจเค• เคฌिเคœเคฒी เค•เฅœเค•ी)

Ward off the Rain - to avoid the rain ( เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคธे เคฌเคšเคจा)
Ex:- Carry an umbrella to ward off the rain.
       (  เคฌाเคฐिเคธ เคธे เคฌเคšเคจे เค•े เคฒिเค เค›ाเคคा เคฒे เคฒो।)

It was around 3 o'clock and It was cloudy weather. Riya was allset to go to tuition.She took her bag and left for tuition. As soon as she left the home. It started drizzling and her clothes were damped . When she was just 100 miles away from the tuition. It started raining cat and dog. By the time she got to the tuition, She had soaked. But fortunately she had a waterproof bag. And she had another dress in the bag. Without wasting time she went to  the changing room and changed the clothes. After the class it was drizzling a bit. All the ditches were full of water.
