Today we are gonna learn the use of " Not to speak of". It is also known as " Not to mention" or "what to mention of".

Most of us tend to be confused with some Hindi sentences that we come across on day to day conversation. It particularly happens with  some new students because they tend to translate from Hindi to English. Keeping this in mind, I have come up with a new structure that bothers Many students.Overall this lesson goes to those obsessed English learner who love some difficult sentences. So without further ado , let's get started.



  We usually make us of "NOT TO SPEAK OF " . When a Hindi sentence ends with "दूर रहा, तो दूर,दूर की बात है, की तो छोड़ो "













मेरी तो छोड़ो , वो तो अपने बाप की भी नही सुनता।
👉He doesn't even listen to his father, not to speak of me.
                             Or

👉Not to speak of me, he doesn't even listen to his father.

कार चलाने की तो छोड़ो, मुझे bike भी चलाना नही आता।
👉 I don't even know how to ride a bike, not to speak of driving a car.

                                Or

👉Not to speak of driving a car, I don't even know how to ride a bike.


 शादी तो दूर की बात है, मैं तो दोस्ती भी ना करू उससे।

👉 I will even not make friends with her, not to speak of marriage.

 खाना तो दूर रहा , मैंने पानी भी नही पिया आज।
👉 I have not even drunk water, not to speak of having food.

 फ़ोन चलाना तो दूर, उसने देखा भी नही है।
 👉He hasn't even seen a phone , not to speak of using .

 मिलना तो दूर , मैं तो उसकी शक्ल देखना नही चाहता।
 I don't even want to take a look at him, not to speak of meeting.

इंसान की तो छोड़ो, लोग भगवान तक को value  नही देते।
👉 People don't even value God, not to speak of human being.
